Arbin’s MITS Pro software is regarded as the most powerful and flexible in the industry. It serves as the interface platform for all of our testing systems; covering all energy storage testing applications including electrochemistry, basic life cycling, and real-world simulations.

Log data based on a change in Time (ΔT), change in Current(ΔI), or change in Voltage(ΔV).
Multiple data logging criteria may be used to automatically capture data more rapidly during important events.

Data Watcher allows data to be viewed graphically in real-time while tests are running.

02 - Data Watcher: Real-Time Plotting

Plot up to 2 X-axis and 4 Y-axis variables on a single chart or split between two separate charts.
Chart limits automatically scale dynamically while tests are running.

03 - Data WatcherP: Real-Time Plotting

Click on a point along the plot to view a brief selection of data. Further data analysis is performed by accessing the full database.

04 - Data Watcher: Additional Features

• View individual and multiple channels on the same chart.
• Plot main channel data as well as any auxiliary data such as auxV and temperature.
• Axis limits can be fixed or dynamic while tests are running.
• Zoom in and out of the plot to view more detail in a specific area.
• Data Watcher comes pre-installed with the Arbin system, and users also have the license to install Data Watcher on multiple PC’s.

01 - Data Pro Macro

Data Pro is an Excel macro that automatically imports data from our SQL database into Excel format for ease of use and plotting.

Individual or multiples channels of data may be imported into an Excel workbook. The import can be customized to include all data or a specified range of cycles or data points.

Each channel’s data may be separated in its on sheet.

03 - Data Pro Macro: Plotting

The Data Pro Macro provides an easy to use plotting utility and users have Excel’s full capability to customize the plot for report formatting.

SQL Server

Raw Arbin data is stored in a SQL server which provides a robust and flexible solution for users to work with the large amounts of data generated during long-term testing.

SQL Server has native backup and networking capabilities built-in, but Arbin also provides some kits to help novice users who are not familiar with SQL create tailored backups on their network.

Arbin’s Data Pro macro automatically converts user data into Excel format so users never have to see SQL to analyze data.

01 - Global Safety Limits

Global Safety Limits may be set for each test profile and apply to the whole test. If a channel reaches a safety limit, it immediately stops the test on that channel.

02 - Step-Specific Safety Limits

More specific safety limits may be set for each individual step within a test profile. These limits can be designed to stop a test, or simply change what the test does.

03 - Redundant Safety Limits

Since Arbin testing systems have a redundant microcontroller for each module dedicated to monitoring safety limits, a secondary set of voltage safety limits may be set for each channel. This functions as a failsafe.

About Arbin Software

Users have the ability to charge and discharge an energy storage device based on application-specific test requirements such as using the c-rate function for battery testing, voltage ramps to perform cyclic voltammetry, or online ESR measurements for supercapacitors.

Dozens of control types are available in addition to a vast library of over 90+ unique meta variable conditions, and our formula feature which offers near limitless potential. The sophistication to use meta variables and formulas instead of fixed numeric values alone is what makes Arbin’s software superior. One common example is that users can use the “last step value of voltage” instead of repeatedly entering 4.2V as a control value.

Importance of Precision This plot illustrates the difference between Arbin and another leading manufacturer. The two distinct dips in the plot may have been missed using an inferior tester.

While many companies try to sell the same antiquated equipment for over a decade, Arbin has been hard at work improving our designs to meet future industry demands. We learned a lot during our three year ARPA-E project and have implemented this new technology in our LBT and HPT product series. The HPT systems represent our premium product, but LBT is superior to all other standard testers on the market.
